Style: Folk, Funk, Covers

Folk is the overarching style of this record. It’s a combination of covers and original compositions. “Retrospect” is a nice original tune with a contemplative vibe and a nice minor key chorus. 

There’s also hilarious attempt at covering Ohio Players’ song “Fire.” It might lot live up to it’s original but it’s loose and entertaining. Why they chose this to include it amongst soft and fragile folk is a mystery to me.

Also worth checking out is Papa’s Pride’s punk tinged version of “Cat’s in the Cradle.” The vocals are pretty fire.

The Blanding cowboy Stan Bronson is strangely mentioned as a consultant for the album.
