Well known for many years now and recently reissued by Mapache records in 2018. Naomi’s album is a simple expression of appreciation for nature, God and love as mentioned in her article in Arkivet Magazine. It’s fragile but never, timid and at times even beat-heavy as found in the song Tupa, Tupa, Tupa. 

Lewis’ songwriting is accented with production from David Eyre and thankfully, it doesn’t feel forced or heavy-handed. She has another album called Cottage Songs which is not featured here. Rather than compare her to other artists making similar music, i’ll let you decide.

I originally found this album back in 2007 at thrift store and it has been a favorite ever since.
