With a twang of the strings, The Henchman blast off into an imperfectly energetic guitar riff, setting the tone of their A side jam “Slow Down”. Wailing “baby” this and “baby” that lyrics, highlighted with an end of chorus shriek. The Henchman pull off an easily listened to classic garage rock anthem.

On their B side, they slow things down with a Rolling Stones-esk cover of The Hollies ballad “So Lonely”. Sprinkled with chimey guitars played between pouty crooning just barely held together with the distant chirping of the organ. This 45 is a surprise little nugget of garage rock goodness and isn’t one to pass on if discovered buried under a pile of worn out jukebox singles at your local thrift.
