One of the standout tracks on this album is called “Waitin’ on Summertime” by Tom Doenges. He was attending school at Utah State University at the time this was recorded. This song was written by him as part of an assignment while studying there. It’s an upbeat pop song that would fit right in a boogie set.

This track was part of a larger project that was released a bit later by his band Subject to Change on cassette in 1986. According to Tom, these were all recorded at Osmond Studios in Provo.

Tom is still busy in the studio recording music and now lives in Harbor, Washington where he performs with the band Desolation Sound.

This is the gem of the release but also check out the very worthy “Dreamer” by Earl Rouse, “Dynamic Crowbar” by Dave Wark and the stripped down track by Rollin’ Country.
