I would never peg this as a Utah record. I’m getting heavy coastal vibes. What a burner “But Do You Care“ is!!! It brings to mind summer block parties, capped fire hydrants, makeshift snow cone vendors, and dancing, sweaty in the street in the era of pay phones.

The “What You Won’t Do For Love” cover is equally intriguing. A more subdued, slower burn than the Bobby Caldwell OG w/ a cool barrio touch. The signature chord changes are accentuated by what sounds like timbales. Latin percussion makes everything better! I’m kicking myself for not owning this record. I’ve passed on it more than once.
