Rumor has it that ye’ olde Huntsman money was behind the Continental Record Co Inc label that only released Three D’s albums except for one in ‘69.  Dan Whitley, with Bobby Morphis, made a soft pop rock record with slight psych touches in CA that ended up on the aforementioned label (clearly Utah based - seagulls and beehive logo).

The record is well produced and peppered with some horn arrangements, fuzz guitar and a lil’ sitar on the “Nature Boy” cover.  The standout and most dynamic song to me is the last on the album ‘Go Away Now’. Dan and friends also put out albums as Justus Bros, Rebel Force Band ‘Living in These Star Warz’ and Sunshade ‘N’ Rain on a CA addressed label. Dan is quite prolific and currently teaches music to kids in Draper at Whitley Music Studios.
