You may know Walter & Hays from their smash hit cassingle 'Mormon Rap' in '88 but did you know they released a 7" in '85? The song 'Stay By Me' is some really nice AOR cheese worthy of a mix tape. Right off the bat, the song's warm light hearted bounce invokes an 80's family sitcom theme but then relaxes with a Corona in a fold out chair on a Bayliner. They clearly have professional songwriting/recording instincts but very little output. Looks like they released another 'parody' cassingle in '89 called 'I'm So Good Lookin' but I haven't heard it.
